Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway revealed the name of the company they have been building a secret stake in for the past nine months causing the share price to immediately soar. The company's shares then immediately jumped more than seven percent in after-hours trading peaking at over eight percent.

Omar Bin Omran (left as a teenager and right now) was believed to have disappeared 27 years ago. Omar's family assumed he had been killed before the truth literally hit close to home this week. The missing man is alleged to have been taken prisoner by a 61-year-old neighbor who is now in police custody. Carlos Guillermo Alonso, 78, (top) was the only person on his boat (bottom) at the time of the tragic crash that killed killed Ella Riley Adler, 15, according to an incident report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The boat was taken by FWC agents Tuesday after it was discovered outside Alonso's $4 million home in Coral Gables, Miami. Alonso is  understood to be cooperating with law enforcement. The report revealed that Adler had been on a 42-foot long boat with 13 other people, including her teenage friends celebrating a friend's birthday. Adler and another girl were being towed with one riding a wakeboard and the other on a wake surfboard when the crash occurred.

The pro-Putin prime minister of Slovakia was recovering in hospital last night after being shot in an assassination bid that triggered alarm bells across Europe. Robert Fico was beckoned over to meet a crowd of supporters before a gunman leaned across and fired five times at point-blank range, sending the divisive politician sprawling to the ground. Bodyguards pounced on the would-be assassin as Mr Fico was carried into a government limousine which sped away before he was airlifted to hospital. His condition was critical, however Slovak deputy prime minister Tomas Taraba told the BBC that 'the operation went well', adding he was confident that 'he will survive'. As police said they had detained 71-year-old poet Juraj Cintula on suspicion of the shooting in Handlova, central Slovakia.

Animal psychologists have released incredible video from 214 cases of Capuchin monkeys using stone and stick tools to forage for food in Brazil's Ubajara National Park. Over 21 months, the team observed that the monkeys used sandstone tools during 59 percent of digging attempts on hills, but only 24 percent of digging attempts along riverbanks, suggesting an awareness that the damp dirt was more gentle and easier to excavate with just their tiny monkey paws

Boston Globe correspondent Linda Matchan noticed a mysterious $5,000 withdrawal from her checking account in June 2022 and embarked on a two-year journey to find her scammer. The money had been taken out of a Bank of America branch in Saratoga Springs, New York, hundreds of miles away from her home in Greater Boston. Matchan later learned than an elderly, wheelchair-bound woman had walked into the bank and presented a fake driver's license with her name on it to get the money. She was even more surprised with what the woman had to say when she finally confronted her in court.

A ground staffer fell from a TransNusa Airbus A320 at Jakarta Airport, Indonesia as the flight crew prepared for takeoff. The worker allegedly saluted the crew for a safe flight while ground staff removed the mobile stairs from the plane, reports indicate. Seemingly unaware that the steps had been moved, the agent, still talking with the crew, walked off the plane and fell straight to the tarmac. The worker received medical treatment immediately and did not sustain life threatening injuries.

Rhonda James, the president of the Metropolis public library board began receiving letters from distraught parents who complained that their children were being 'indoctrinated' at the local library. 'I did not bring my children to the library for religious indoctrination,' read one letter, which claimed the local library director had prayed with children. The director was accused more broadly of 'pushing Christianity' on kids, as well as removing computers and books about other religions and sexualities.

Ali Hamsa Yusuf, 22, was caught on surveillance footage creeping up behind his boss at an Amazon warehouse in in West Jefferson, Ohio. The trainee security guard had been in the job two weeks when he attempted to murder his supervisor police said. Heart-stopping footage shows Yusuf saunter up behind his target while he sits at his desk fire twice after the gun jammed the first time. The trainee then fled the scene and was later killed in a shootout with the cops.

Another New York City woman has flashed her bare breasts at the Dublin portal - as the original flasher claims it was only 'revenge' for the cruel 9/11 taunts from the Irish crowd.  Video footage captured the moment when the unnamed woman dashed out before the crowd, mirroring the style of Ava Louise, an OnlyFans model who had recently exposed herself in front of the portal.
